Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) . Arcticom, a company within the BSNC family, is currently seeking a qualified Scrum Master in Stuiland, MD. This person will serve as scrum master for a small agile development team. Wage/Salary Range:
$68/hr $76/hr . Responsibilities
Facilitate agile ceremonies: Lead daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives, ensuring clear goals, actionable outcomes, and continuous improvement for the team. Jira and backlog management: Manage work within Jira, including refining the backlog, planning sprints, and accounting for team capacity. Prevent excessive scope creep and ensure committed sprint work is on track for completion. User story excellence: Ensure user stories and tasks are clearly written and understood by both customers and the technical team, complete with well-defined acceptance criteria. Foster collaboration and communication: Champion a collaborative environment by facilitating regular team meetings and ceremonies (scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives), as well as ad-hoc discussions. Leverage Jira and Confluence to enhance communication. Manage team calendar and coordination: Oversee the team's calendar, scheduling necessary meetings with key points of contact, the technical team, customers, or other agency personnel as needed. Maintain project awareness: Remain current on all aspects of the project, understanding dependencies, risks, and overall progress. Qualifications
Experience, Education And Certification
A bachelors degree is required 3-5 years of experience as Scrum Master Ability to work independently with minimal oversight Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics
Experience as Scrum Master and with agile ceremonies Experience with Jira Excellent communications skills Physical & Safety

If applicable to the contract, obtain the appropriate clearance levels and be able to access military installations.
