Responsibilities
Provide manufacturing support for Blankmaking manufacturing processes and manage cost reduction, controls improvement, and capacity projects. Troubleshoot low and medium voltage systems and manage manufacturing processes and projects (cost reduction, repair and maintenance reduction, etc.). Perform first, second, and third level troubleshooting of equipment/process issues and work hands-on with manufacturing equipment and activities. Identify and support process improvements; use judgment, experience, and initiative to resolve problems and make recommendations. Direct shift technicians and prioritize troubleshooting efforts during the shift. Monitor area performance, identify equipment/process issues, and drive issues to closure. Simultaneously manage and troubleshoot multiple issues, prioritizing based on the plants needs. Support Preventive Maintenance and equipment upkeep; direct maintenance personnel in repairs, maintenance, testing, installation, and debugging of equipment. Stay current with training from engineering and technical SME areas on new processes/equipment and procedural changes. Collaborate with operations, other support technicians, and engineers to coordinate and direct equipment startup, repair, troubleshooting, and process changes. Contribute to keeping production teams up-to-date on processes, equipment, and procedures. Reference supporting documentation to complete tasks and report discrepancies that need updating. Assist engineers in the design, troubleshooting, documentation, and implementation of new or modified production equipment. Maintain systems and actions necessary to ensure compliance with department certification programs, quality system audit program, and ISO 14000 registration. Champion a safe work environment and enforce housekeeping and safety regulations. Experiences/Education Required
2-year technical degree with 2 or more years of experience OR 6 years of technical experience in lieu of a degree Hours of work: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required, with 24/7 facility operations. This includes the DuPont shift rotation. General knowledge of PLC control systems Familiarity with Maximo, CMMS This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $59,476.00-$81,780.00 assuming full-time status. Starting pay is dependent on factors such as geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
