Overview
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is one of the world's most respected centers focused on cancer patient care, research, education, and prevention. Responsibilities Answer non-emergency and administrative telephone lines and enter information into a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system; process non-emergency and routine requests for police, security, and technical support services; forward calls to the appropriate police dispatch station as needed. Monitor CCTV for situations requiring law enforcement or security response and forward information to the appropriate police dispatch station to initiate a proper response. Compose and distribute shift and found property logs, and perform other police communication center paperwork. Other duties as assigned, including emergency recall and potentially remaining onsite or working extended hours during disasters; travel may be required for training or business purposes; may work rotating day, evening, night shifts with varying days off and holidays; subject to emergency recall during disasters.
Education and Experience
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: One year of relevant work experience. Licenses/Tests: Must successfully complete the Public Safety Telecommunication (PST) Test obtained from the International Association of Public Safety Telecommunicators and administered by the Police Department.

This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, and may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.
