Administrative Assistant
Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or sufficient education, training and experience to perform position duties Some experience in clerical, secretarial or similar office positions is required Experience with automated information management systems including word processing is preferred Experience effectively working with the public is desirable Ability to follow oral and written instructions Essential Duties: Regular and punctual attendance required Perform various clerical, secretarial and office support for an administrator Type a variety of routine and complex documents, reports, forms and correspondence Use various school software systems to maintain school accountability Assist with various administrative and student related activities such as registration, calling absentees, preparing reports, contacting parents, checking students in/out, and any other related tasks Operate various types of office equipment such as copiers, fax, scanners, etc. Learn and maintain knowledge of policies, routine record keeping and required reports Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and information pertaining to individual students and/or overall program Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work an eight (8) hour day Ability to follow oral and written instruction Ability to work independently with or without supervision Knowledge of safety rules in the workplace Ability to work with a significant diversity of individuals and perform effectively as a team member Physical Requirements to Perform Essential Functions: Adequate strength, dexterity and agility to perform all tasks assigned
