Travel Surgical Technologist - $1,904 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 09/29/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Title: OR Tech / Surgical Tech Location: Laurinburg, NC 28352 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 5x8-Hour (10:30 AM – 7:00 PM), Monday–Friday; Call required (2 weekends per contract, 20-min response time) Job responsibilities and all required and preferred skills and requirements: Provide surgical support in a busy 104-bed community hospital with 5 ORs (general, OB-GYN, ortho, vascular, ENT, ophthalmology, podiatry; expanding to ortho/spine). Maintain aseptic technique, specimen handling, sterilization/disinfection, universal protocol, wound care, and safety standards. Assist in procedures across specialties: General Surgery: Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, colon resection, mastectomy*, thyroidectomy*, Whipple*. Orthopedic: Arthroscopy*, fracture repairs*, total hip/knee replacement*, spinal fusion*, laminectomy/discectomy*. Vascular: AAA repair*, AV fistula repair*, carotid endarterectomy*, fem-pop bypass graft*. Gynecology: Hysterectomies, C-sections, tubal ligations, D&C, vulvectomy*. Neuro Surgery: Spinal fusions, cervical/lumbar procedures, kyphoplasty*. Other Specialties: ENT, urology, podiatry, trauma, ophthalmology, robotics (Mako)*, endoscopy. Equipment knowledge: high-level disinfection, care of scopes (bronchoscope, colonoscope, EGD, etc.), crash cart. Patient populations: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics. Requirements: Minimum 2 years’ experience as Surgical Tech; travel experience strongly preferred. Certification: BLS required; NBSTSA/CSFA preferred. Experience with Epic charting preferred. Must take call as scheduled; ability to respond within 20 minutes.
