The Senior National Account Manager Retail plays a critical leadership role in architecting and energizing our retail growth engine, delivering high-impact sales strategies that accelerate revenue and expand brand reach. The Senior National Account Manager reports into the SVP Indirect Sales. Their focus is on forging deep, strategic partnerships with Big Box Retailers to unlock sustainable growth to fuel our ambition to exceed aggressive Sales & Profit targets while elevating our category leadership. This role would be instrumental in capturing new growth opportunities and opening breakthrough account relationships in addition to maintaining the relationships we have with our current National Accounts across the country. Position Description:
Inspire, develop, and drive next-gen sales strategies for National Accounts such as Walmart, Sams Club, Costco, Target Corp, AutoZone, The Home Depot, Advance Auto Parts and other similar Auto Specialty & Big Box Accounts
Analyze sales statistics to identify areas of improvement and track results/trends regularly for accurate business forecasting
Report on POS Sales, Promotional Results, Sales v Plan and others
Create and nurture strategic alliances with new retail partners
Strengthen and expand long-standing partnerships with our valued retail clients
Be the catalyst that connects Sales with cross-functional excellence from logistics and customer service to quality and operations
Establish and maintain account relationships across a broad range of functions including the customers executive team (Owner, CEO, CPO, COO)
Build trusted relationships that create deep-rooted customer loyalty and unrivaled competitive advantage
Ability to identify a customers long-term growth strategy and create and sell beyond core products that would be best aligned with Chemical Guys technical and operational resources (R&D, Market insights)
Successful negotiation of contracts and proposals to ensure sales objectives are met
Ability to define Chemical Guys product and service values in the sales process and establish pricing that maximizes sales & profit to Chemical Guys based on the value delivered
Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to facilitate successful completion of business growth and product improvement opportunities
Support and share best practices with team members in developing new market opportunities
Engage with key partners face-to-face across North America (810 high-impact trips annually) Canada, US, Mexico

$100k - $130k plus bonus First Year Deliverables 3 months: Attend SDU and become familiar with the Chemical Guys Product Portfolio Visit 3-5 retail locations of each National Account to build familiarity Login and become familiar with each Customer Specific Portal Meet one-on-one with Cross-functional leaders and peers at Chemical Guys (schedule to be provided by leadership) Identify New Points of Distribution (POD) opportunities both in the Automotive Space and outside the Automotive Space). 6 months: Meet with each National Account Merchandise Leader either face-to-face or virtually Understand the content, approach and methodology of developing business opportunities such as Line Reviews, Promotional Opportunities and Incremental Business needs Track and Adjust to hit Sales Plan and Points of Distribution (POD) Goals Be viewed by our Trade Partners as the Point of Contact and 1st contact for Account opportunities, needs and issues 12 months: Provide Leadership in thought and ideation for development and execution of Chemical Guys National Accounts Achieve published Sales and POD Goals Become active and participate in building National Account Sales Goals and Objectives Identify new areas and opportunities for growth Requirements Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in National Account HQ Sales and Management experience with AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, OReilly Auto Parts, Target, Costco, Sams Club, Walmart or similar is highly preferred. Experience selling and managing Consumer Packed Goods / Consumable Items at a National HQ Level Effective communication skills offering insights internally and externally to ensure objectives and progress is clear to all involved Analytical Skills Proficient working knowledge of Category Management Principles Ability to quickly learn and effectively use Customer specific portals Strong leadership qualities and analytical skills to interpret and translate data into actional plans Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
