The mission of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging is to provide quality images and treatments to patients in a compassionate and efficient manner.

Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, CT Supervisor, Diagnostic Imaging Manager, and the Administrator of Diagnostic Imaging, the CT Technologist shall perform procedures on selected anatomy as requested by the clinician, based on age-appropriateness criteria. The technologist is expected to perform a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply the proper scan protocols needed to visualize the anatomy in question.

Must be able to work scheduled weekdays, weekends, and "ON CALL" hours as scheduled, if applicable.

The Ideal Candidate:

Would have one to two years of previous CT experience in a hospital setting. Advanced CT training or experience. Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS). Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply proper scan protocols to visualize the anatomy. Understand the process of computed radiology, image processing, archiving, and sending images to PACS stations, performing these tasks accurately and without error. Operate all scanners and associated equipment such as pressure injectors to acquire high-quality diagnostic images regardless of patient age. Credentials and Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED.

Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology with certification in CT discipline.

ARRT (R) or ARRT (T) certification required; CT must obtain Advanced Certification within eighteen (18) months of hire. RT Fl License. BLS certification. Competency in all aspects of Radiology and/or CT, including patient positioning and radiation protection. Ability to start IVs and administer contrast based on department protocols. Basic computer skills required.
