Facility Director of Plant Operations
for a
13-week travel contract . This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled facilities leader to make a direct impact on a rural hospital while enjoying the unique lifestyle of South Dakota's heartland.
Job Responsibilities
As the Facility Director of Plant Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the hospital's
maintenance, security, and safety operations . Key duties include: Directing and supervising all maintenance, grounds, and plant operations staff.
Managing facility security and environmental safety programs.
Monitoring and updating
maintenance and safety policy and procedure manuals
in compliance with the
State Department of Health, Infection Control, and OSHA
regulations.
Ensuring all equipment, utilities, and building systems remain operational, safe, and efficient.
Overseeing emergency preparedness, fire safety systems, and routine facility inspections.
Collaborating with hospital leadership to implement best practices for energy efficiency and sustainability. Education & Certification Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum
5 years of progressive leadership experience
in hospital/healthcare facility management.
Strong knowledge of
OSHA, NFPA, Joint Commission, and Department of Health regulations .
Certification in
Healthcare Facility Management (CHFM)
strongly preferred.
Current
BLS certification
