Vice President, Equities Algorithmic Quantitative Research and Development About the Company Globally recognized financial services company specializing in investment banking, securities & trading services Industry Financial Services Type Public Company About the Role The Company is in search of a Vice President for its Equities Algorithmic Quantitative Research and Development team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the design and implementation of sophisticated models and optimization techniques that enhance trading performance and deliver client-centric solutions. This role requires a Master's degree in a STEM discipline, a minimum of 5 years' experience in quantitative research, algorithmic trading, or related fields, and a strong background in optimization techniques applicable to trading strategies. Proficiency in Java or C++ for high-performance systems development is essential, with experience in an algorithmic trading platform being a significant advantage. As a VP in this team, the primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing optimization algorithms for trade scheduling, developing production-ready code, and collaborating with various teams to refine strategies and enhance execution performance. The role also involves contributing to the strategic direction of the trading platform and influencing its architecture and research priorities. The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration. Preferred qualifications include a PhD in a STEM field, expertise in stochastic control, numerical optimization, and portfolio strategy modeling, as well as experience with modern data processing technologies and a deep understanding of equity market microstructure and cash equity trading.
