Note:

This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel may be required. Duties and Responsibilities

Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological tests. Examine and analyze body fluids and cells; match blood for transfusions. Familiarity with AABB requirements for maintaining blood products. Analyze chemical content of fluids and test for drug levels in blood. Prepare specimens, count cells, and identify abnormal cells in blood and body fluids. Analyze test results and communicate findings to physicians. Make cultures of body fluid and tissue samples to detect microorganisms. Analyze samples for chemical content and determine concentrations of compounds like glucose and cholesterol. Evaluate test results, develop and modify procedures, and monitor quality assurance programs. Use universal safety precautions to protect against biohazards. Order and stock supplies; maintain a safe and clean work environment. Maintain patient records, manage lab equipment, and oversee lab operations as needed. Provide supervision or act as Lead for the lab, guiding other technologists and technicians. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications

Completion of a formal Medical Technology training program leading to a Bachelor's Degree. Certification by AMT, ASCP, or NCA. Current BLS certification. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Medical Technologist. At least 1 year in a Lead role. Recent clinical experience in direct patient care within the last 6 months. Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, organized, and communicate effectively. Proficiency with computers, MS Office, and office equipment. Flexibility to adapt to shift changes and operational needs. Strong problem-solving skills. Proficiency in English communication skills. Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
