We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr IT Data & AI Architect to join our team. You will transform how data and artificial intelligence shape the future of EV battery manufacturing. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to architect data and AI solutions that enhance operations across the battery lifecycle, from materials sourcing to manufacturing, testing, and delivery. This role focuses on building intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and data-driven insights to drive operational excellence, optimize product quality, enable predictive maintenance, and support R&D. Design and implement robust data architectures enabling real-time analytics, data integration, and seamless information flow across the organization. Develop a scalable and secure data ecosystem that supports enterprise-wide analytics and AI applications. Define AI strategies, identify opportunities for AI implementation, and align AI initiatives with business objectives. Design enterprise AI architecture, including data pipelines, ML models, and integration with existing infrastructure, with a focus on AI/ML solutions for enterprise productivity and manufacturing processes, including predictive maintenance, quality assurance, process optimization, and yield improvement. Establish data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, integrity, privacy, and regulatory compliance (ISO, GDPR, industry standards). Collaborate with CIO, AI & Data Leader, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI-powered solutions. Stay current with emerging technologies in AI, ML, IoT, big data, and cloud computing; evaluate tools, platforms, and frameworks for analytics and manufacturing automation. Integrate data from diverse sources such as manufacturing equipment, IoT sensors, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and supply chain platforms to enable a connected, data-rich environment. Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML models: data acquisition, development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and retraining. Architect systems to process large-scale data with high availability and performance for real-time and batch operations. Provide guidance and mentorship to data scientists, engineers, and analysts to foster innovation and continuous learning. Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, models, and processes; promote best practices in data engineering, AI development, and MLOps. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field; Masters preferred 10+ years in IT with at least 7 years in data architecture, data engineering, or AI solution development, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments Proficiency with data modeling, SQL and NoSQL databases, and ETL processes Extensive experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and data analytics platforms (Databricks, Spark, Hadoop) Practical knowledge of IoT integration and time-series sensor data in industrial settings Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage, processing, and AI deployment Experience establishing data governance and regulatory compliance Programming experience in Python, Java, or Scala Proven ability to design end-to-end AI-driven solutions for process optimization, predictive maintenance, or quality control Strong communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to envision and realize novel data/AI applications in manufacturing; strong understanding of manufacturing processes and systems integration Analytical, with a track record of data-driven problem solving; capable of leading cross-functional teams Comfortable navigating ambiguity and thriving in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills
Experience in EV, automotive, or battery manufacturing sectors Knowledge of materials science data, battery chemistry, or electrochemical modeling Familiarity with digital twin technologies and simulation platforms Cloud architecture, data engineering, or ML certifications Experience with MLOps and CI/CD for AI/ML models Summary
