Lead and collaborate with architects, developers, offshore teams, business and technology stakeholders in a complex environment across different geographic locations. Champion pragmatic, strategic technology alternatives that deliver short-term results while contributing to long-term strategic goals (reusability, stability, flexibility). Work in both Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies and demonstrate the ability to adapt to change. Engage in building/engineering highly-resilient, mission-critical systems that impact customer outcomes. Develop and implement roadmaps and options for DB2-related environments (e.g., Oracle XE, Cockroach DB) in terms of ETL/MF replacement; participate in creating a 23 year roadmap including cost and resource planning; explore Gen AI tools as applicable. Collaborate with data and ETL teams on DataStage integration with Ngen, RESTful services, and BPM tools (Pega, TIBCO, Apache Activiti). Leverage broad technology knowledge across Mainframe, DB2, IMS, COBOL, Master Data Management, Analytics, ETL, and UNIX shell scripting; understand large batch processing and QA methodologies. Qualifications
Extensive development experience in IBM Information Analyzer / IBM WebSphere / Data Stage / QualityStage / Fast Track / Metadata Workbench. Expertise with SQL, RDBMS, complex queries, optimization, and performance tuning. Experience integrating DataStage with NGen, RESTful Web services; experience integrating DataStage with BPM tools such as Pega, TIBCO, Apache Activiti. Broad understanding of multiple technologies including Mainframe, DB2, IMS, COBOL, Master Data Management, Analytics, ETL, UNIX shell scripting. Understanding of large batch processing; knowledge of QA methodologies; exposure to all facets of ETL processes. Ability to work with vendors to align on business use cases for DB2-related options and to create long-range roadmaps with cost/resource planning; openness to Gen AI exploration.
