Children's Hospital Colorado Job Overview Performs high-quality pediatric diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures. Provides conscientious patient care while adhering to all quality and safety standards. Prioritizes MRI safety and performs work following established safety protocols at all times. Performs administrative duties including scheduling appointments, patient instructions, and maintenance of records. Communicates regularly with patients, families, and caregivers, following department expectations. This position may require on-call duties depending on the location. Additional Information Department: South Campus MRI Job Status: Part-Time - benefits eligible Shift: 7am - 5:30pm on Friday and Saturday, with minimal on-call requirements and opportunities for additional hours. On-Call Requirements : Location: Anschutz Medical Center One weekday evening on-call every 3 weeks One weekend shift every 13-14 weeks Qualifications Education:
Graduation from an accredited Radiology program Certifications: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT-MR certification Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Responsibilities Produce high-quality imaging demonstrating anatomy and pathology using proper protocols. Manage patient flow, including urgent and high-priority cases. Provide age-appropriate care and prepare patients for procedures. Operate MRI and ancillary equipment following safety procedures. Maintain competency in RIS, EMR, PACS systems. Perform IV placements and vascular access as needed. Act as first responder in emergencies, providing BLS until help arrives. Verify allergies and clinical indications before contrast administration; administer contrast safely. Assist providers with procedures, maintaining aseptic technique. Follow department policies, procedures, and safety standards, reporting issues promptly. Ensure MRI safety and security, especially in MRI Zones 3 and 4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff. Maintain flexibility in scheduling, call, and overtime as organizational needs dictate. Salary & Benefits Hourly range: $34.78 - $52.17, based on experience.
