Job Overview:
Under the supervision of the radiologist and the manager, the MR Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images using proper techniques and protocols. This role requires independent judgment, knowledge of MR physics, patient positioning, safety, and new protocols. Responsibilities include orienting new staff, troubleshooting equipment, ensuring safety, maintaining records, assisting in education, and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team. The position requires ongoing education and certification within 2 years of employment, adhering to standards set by the ASRT.

Job Requirements: Associate's Degree in Allied Health Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification ARRT or NMTCB certification, BLS/CPR Knowledge of MRI safety protocols, cross-sectional anatomy, venipuncture
Additional Competencies: Demonstrates ongoing competency through continuing education Knowledge of equipment operation and protocol selection based on clinical history Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to produce and evaluate MRIs for diagnosis Maintains accurate records and documentation Provides patient and family care, recognizes emergencies
