Overview
Regional Sales Director - Multi-Family - Atlanta, GA. This role leads a team of 8 Sales Managers and about 70 field account managers focused on selling MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) supplies along with other products to customers in the apartment industry. The territory is the Mid-South: Georgia, Carolinas, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and part of Ohio. Job Responsibilities Leads a team of sales managers and representatives in a designated region driving maximum sales growth and profitability for the organization. Supports the sales team by resolving escalated issues, leveraging territory data analytics, and implementing creative sales solutions to maintain a territory vision and consistently deliver sales results. Develops new business relationships, strategies, and opportunities while analyzing field data and reports to determine necessary changes to achieve sales goals. Formulates strategic approaches to successfully acquire new business from prospective customers, dedicating time at the field level to nurture and expand existing customer relationships. Collaborates with internal partners to ensure a strong customer experience and optimize business results. Ensures timely and accurate communication on critical issues to ensure swift and accurate resolution. Supports change management initiatives, coaching the sales team, and developing managers and associates to ensure internal growth opportunities.
Qualifications
Sales leadership experience in a similar industry. Experience in business-to-business sales. Experience in the distribution industry. Evaluating talent, building a team, coaching/mentoring a sales team. Strategic with the ability to identify growth opportunities. Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce, or similar CRM. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals. Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. Certification may be required. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. Overnight travel typically more than 50% of the time.
Additional Details
Operation of a personal vehicle is required; the company will run a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and an acceptable report is required.
