Senior Advisor Philanthropic . This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with high-net-worth donors and play a vital role in securing major gifts that drive our mission forward. As a Senior Advisor Philanthropic, you will lead our philanthropic efforts by cultivating relationships, soliciting major gifts, and stewarding complex donations. Your strategic approach will help us achieve our revenue goals and make a real difference in the lives of children battling life-threatening diseases. Key Responsibilities:
Build Meaningful Relationships:
Use your fundraising expertise and interpersonal skills to establish genuine connections with donors, their families, and advisors from diverse backgrounds. Focus on soliciting significant gifts at the Major Gift level of $25,000+, emphasizing gifts of $100,000+. Manage a Dynamic Portfolio:
Oversee at least 150 key individual donors. Conduct personal visits and maintain critical contacts, especially engaging multicultural high-wealth donors within your area and territory. Leverage Technology:
Use donor management software to capture essential details, maintain records of interactions, complete reports, and plan trips effectively to maximize engagement. Strategic Planning:
Analyze your donor portfolio to optimize trip planning and time management, aiming to exceed contact and solicitation goals. Seek opportunities to surpass expectations. Financial Responsibility:
Handle donations with discretion and fiduciary responsibility, adhering to ALSAC policies and ensuring compliance with the Gift Acceptance Policy manual. Stay Informed:
Keep updated on tax laws affecting charitable giving, personal assets, and estates. Be aware of culturally relevant funding opportunities to collaborate effectively with diverse donors. Follow-up and Gift Planning:
Support prospects and donors through gift planning, and prepare and present proposals and contracts. Continuous Learning:
Attend meetings, including some evenings and virtual sessions, to foster growth. Be willing to travel outside your territory to support colleagues and the National Executive Office. Collaboration:
Communicate openly with leadership, the National Office, and team members. Collaborate across divisions to enhance the donor experience, participate in community events, and maintain a team-first approach. Effective Communication:
Demonstrate strong communication skills, stay current with industry trends, and maintain knowledge of St. Judes mission, research, and patient care, representing ALSAC with pride. Qualifications:
Knowledge of development practices or successful experience managing and closing gift prospects. Ability to build authentic relationships with high-net-worth prospects and diverse individuals. Strong planning, organizational, and management skills in a complex environment. Exceptional communication skills, with a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Minimum of 6 years of major gift or sales experience; bachelors degree preferred. Proficiency in interpersonal, phone, and virtual communication tools. Willingness to travel frequently within Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada, with a focus on local and regional donors. Flexibility to travel nationally on weekends and evenings as needed. Work Location:
Based in the greater Phoenix, AZ area with a hybrid schedule. Driver's License:
