Responsibilities
Lead migration from Checkpoint to Fortinet, including policy conversion, rule optimization, and traffic validation. Manage and maintain Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Checkpoint firewalls across corporate, cloud, and remote sites. Optimize firewall rule sets for security, performance, and compliance; perform audits and risk assessments. Design, deploy, and optimize SD-WAN solutions for global connectivity; implement policy-based traffic steering, failover, and WAN optimization. Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF) for enterprise and cloud environments. Administer Zscaler ZIA/ZPA for secure cloud access and implement zero-trust policies for cloud apps and remote access. Maintain Radware DDoS protection and IPS/IDS solutions; partner with SOC teams to analyze security incidents. Perform packet-capture analysis and deep troubleshooting; collaborate with vendors (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Zscaler) for advanced issue resolution. Develop scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for firewall audits and policy automation. Ensure alignment with security standards (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
Experience and Qualifications
5-8 years in network security engineering Hands-on expertise with Fortinet FortiGate, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and Cisco ASA firewalls Strong knowledge of SD-WAN solutions (Fortinet, Cisco, Prisma Access) Routing protocol expertise (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF); VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL, GRE, DMVPN, L2TP) Experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA and cloud security Experience with Radware DDoS protection, IPS/IDS, threat mitigation; NAT design and optimization Proficiency in packet analysis and firewall log troubleshooting
Nice-to-Have
Certifications in VMware, Microsoft, or Fortinet Automation experience with Ansible and Terraform SQL and Exchange Server design/support; familiarity with AI/ML for network optimization
