Market Intelligence Analyst
Working with colleagues across the Market Intelligence team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a program of research and analysis which will position Avison Young as expert commentators on all aspects of investment in the US real estate market. This position will leverage your interpersonal and technical skillsets along with your real estate analytical expertise to assemble relevant datasets and use them to develop and communicate data-driven market insights. You will help develop and use a variety of proprietary internal tools as well as multiple external data sources to build a comprehensive picture of the current state and outlook for the real estate investment sector. Additionally, you will serve as a key partner to executive-level leaders within Avison Young's Capital Markets business via growth analysis, strategic planning, and client account management. The base salary is aligned with market data and is estimated between $75,000 to $95,000 with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus. This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity. Responsibilities
Produce a data-based, analytically informed view of current state and outlook for the US real estate investment sector on a quarterly basis. Liaise with colleagues working in individual markets or regions across the US to ensure appropriate analysis is undertaken to provide understanding of trends and activity in those individual markets, collaborating with them on the production analysis/insight content and outputs as appropriate. Maintain database of U.S. transactions, vetting and augmenting data points. Develop "subject matter expert" status on the real estate investment sector, communicating effectively with colleagues and clients on pricing, capital flows, transaction activity and sector trends. Guide investor clients through market conditions and outlooks by leveraging your analysis together with our proprietary software and third-party tools. Collaborate with Marketing and PR teams to prepare pertinent data and/or talking points, etc. for client events and media inquiries. Participate in press, public relations and real estate industry engagements, including interviews, panel discussions, press releases and presentations. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance or economics 5+ years of commercial real estate experience specifically in capital markets Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills Proven ability to conceive, lead and deliver high quality thought leadership relating to economics, capital markets and real estate investment Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely articulate analytical findings and recommendations leveraging both 3rd party and proprietary technology Highly motivated and energetic individual with the ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision A focus on responsiveness and resourcefulness, and ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize and manage work in a dynamic environment with senior stakeholders Our Equal Opportunity Commitment
