GENERAL SUMMARY:
Shift: PRN, shift and hours will vary, this is a fill-in position. Location: 17700 23 Mile Road, Macomb, MI 48044 This is a multimodality position and will include both CT and general X-Ray scanning. Responsibilities include:
Perform a variety of radiographic procedures used in the diagnostic treatment of illnesses and injuries. Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Implement radiation protection and safety standards. Prepare, perform, and assist the physician in special and advanced procedures. Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations. Help position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including correct lead markers and patient data/history. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage areas.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED:
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire or transfer. ARC CPR for Professional Rescuers accepted upon hire; renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA. One or more of the following:
Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI obtained prior to hire or transfer. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from ARRT obtained prior to hire or transfer.
