Work Shift Day (United States of America) Registered Nurse Manager-Oncology-Marietta Shift: FT Day The nurse manager is a registered professional nurse who provides leadership and management of a specific unit(s) or service through the effective use of knowledge and skills to promote the creation of a center of excellence for staff recruitment and retention and clinical and business outcomes. Responsibilities include clinical, financial, human and material resources deployment and associated outcomes or goals. The Nurse Manager serves as a chief retention and safety officer, ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld using data and technology to make decisions and mitigate risks. They create a safe work environment that supports the organizations mission and goals, fostering communication and collaboration with physicians, staff, patients, and departments. Role-specific competencies are based on the Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing. All RN Clinical Nurses must be licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold nursing standards as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. They must advocate for the patient, adhere to policies, and support service excellence. Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions
Resources and Support : Engages staff in decision-making via shared governance, promoting relationship-based care and service excellence while providing leadership and management. Serves as the unit/program's chief retention and safety officer, managing talent and resources effectively. Analyzes and manages financial resources, utilizing lean and quality skills to improve performance and integrating marketing strategies to advance the service line. Interdisciplinary Teamwork and Collaboration Communicates effectively with diverse audiences, setting standards and holding staff accountable, while promoting a healthy workplace and conflict resolution. Builds strong relationships with staff, departments, and medical staff, practicing reflective, coaching, and guiding skills. Creates opportunities for professional growth and a desirable work environment to attract and retain talent. Exemplary Practice and Outcomes Promotes staff competency in clinical care delivery. Maintains high professional standards and ethics, ensuring compliance and serving as a role model in nursing practice and leadership. Employs change management strategies, respects diversity, and manages varied teams effectively. Professional Development Possesses knowledge of healthcare financing, manages resources, and develops operational systems to meet clinical and business goals. Represents the organization positively, building credibility and seeking opportunities to advance skills. Evidence-Based Practice and Research Promotes evidence-based practice, research, and performance improvement. Identifies risks, ensures compliance, and applies data and evidence to decision-making, respecting legal and ethical standards. Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all policies and standards. Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred. Minimum Licenses and Certifications:
RN license (single or multi-state), BLS certification, all required upon hire. Experience:
At least 2 years of progressive nursing management experience. Skills:
