board-certified/eligible MD or DO
to serve as
Medical Director of our Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program
in Orlando. This full-time clinical faculty position offers a unique opportunity to lead and grow a world-class transplant program within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. About the Opportunity
This is an exceptional leadership role for a pediatric nephrologist with a passion for kidney transplant care--spanning clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic program development. The position includes
75% clinical effort , with approximately
half of that dedicated to transplant patients , and
25% protected time for research, program leadership, or academic growth . As Medical Director, you will join a highly collaborative team of
three pediatric nephrologists , supported by experienced nephrology nurses, dietitians, social workers, and business administrators. You will also work closely with pediatric surgery, urology, and an adult transplant program to ensure seamless, multidisciplinary care. Division Highlights
Comprehensive care for acute kidney injury, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, dialysis (CKRT, PD, HD), plasmapheresis, and transplantation 4,000+ outpatient visits and 1,500+ inpatient encounters annually Strong infrastructure with many assays run in-house in our dedicated laboratory Faculty appointments with UCF College of Medicine, commensurate with experience Why Join Nemours?
Innovative Clinical Programs : Includes ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, nephrology-driven telemedicine initiative for remote patient care, and specialized multidisciplinary clinics (e.g., Lupus/Vasculitis, Williams Syndrome, kidney stones) Research & Collaboration : Active involvement in national collaboratives like NAPRTCS and NAKI; shared best practices with Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware Education & Mentorship : Ongoing training of pediatric residents, medical students, and PA students Supportive Environment : Strong mentorship to support your growth as a leader, clinician, and educator Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. with fellowship training in Pediatric Nephrology Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Nephrology Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license Demonstrated leadership in transplant care and/or academic medicine Commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching, and scholarship What We Offer
