Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Medical Director to lead their dedicated small animal team. This opportunity is open within a well-established clinic that emphasizes high-quality care and a compassionate approach. The hospital is focused on delivering excellent general practice services while fostering a supportive environment for both staff and clients.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM; Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The medical director role supports a 3- or 4-day work week, customized to suit individual work-life balance preferences.
Role Description And Responsibilities
The role involves all typical general practice duties and responsibilities, along with additional medical director responsibilities. This includes overseeing the quality of clinical care and supporting the development of the veterinary team. The caseload is enriching and diverse, ideal for an experienced veterinarian who enjoys clinical leadership and hands-on care.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with quality diagnostic and treatment tools, including an updated dental radiology unit. It places a strong emphasis on low-stress handling techniques to ensure a safe and compassionate environment for animals, staff, and clients.
Team
The team includes a dedicated group of three doctors, supported by experienced support staff. The environment is collaborative, with a focus on providing both excellent veterinary care and a supportive workplace culture.
Candidate Requirements
Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA) Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
