Under the direction of a radiologist, the Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound procedures, requiring independent judgment and initiative. Responsibilities include data entry, equipment maintenance, and providing coverage at various locations within the network. Essential Functions

Performs ultrasound examinations (abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts), ensuring patient safety and comfort, acquiring quality digital images, and assisting physicians as needed. Coordinates daily workflow of the department. Maintains and documents equipment quality control, arranges repairs as needed. Rotates through department locations based on staffing and volume. Participates in staff training and orientation. Ensures a clean, safe environment and manages inventory. Performs additional duties as assigned. Education

High School Diploma or GED - Required Associate's Degree or graduation from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program - Preferred Experience

More than 10 months of clinical ultrasound experience - Required Licenses and Certifications

ARDMS eligibility, including passing SPI exam - Required Current BLS certification - Required RDMS or RVT credential with passing exams in one of the following: Abdomen, Breast, OB/GYN, Pediatric, or Vascular Sonography - Required Two or more ARDMS specialty credentials - Preferred
