Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a Medical Director Veterinarian at Eastside Animal Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN. This AAHA-accredited, Cat-Friendly small animal clinic with a strong reputation for excellence and a supportive, growth-oriented environment, is seeking a dynamic leader to guide its experienced team.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule designed to support a sustainable work-life balance while ensuring high-quality patient care.
Role Description And Responsibilities
The Medical Director will be responsible for providing high-level clinical care while also leading the hospitals team culture, operations, and professional development efforts. Responsibilities include mentoring associates and support staff, promoting a collaborative and progressive environment, and ensuring adherence to high clinical standards. The role is ideal for a veterinarian with strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for both patient care and team development. The position is open to experienced veterinarians who are enthusiastic about shaping the future of the hospital.

The hospital is equipped to deliver high-quality, integrated veterinary care. As both an AAHA-accredited and Cat-Friendly Practice certified by the AAFP, the hospital is committed to providing advanced and compassionate treatment in a stress-reducing environment. With a well-established reputation in the region, the clinic has also been recognized as a Best Place to Work among small businesses. The practice offers full spectrum GP care as well as Integrated Medicine, Urgent and Emergency care.
Team
The team includes eight DVMs and a full complement of support staff. The work environment is collaborative, mentorship-driven, and focused on continuous improvement. As part of a doctor-led veterinary network, the hospital provides autonomy in clinical decision-making while offering strong infrastructure and peer support across the broader organization.
Candidate Requirements
Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA) Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
