Nursing Supervisor

Athena Health Care Systems We are hiring a full-time Nursing Supervisor to join our dynamic care team at Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. 11a-7p shift with weekly pay. Can be an RN or LPN. Working with our team and residents will give you purpose in your professional and personal life. Responsibilities Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident. Participates in developing, updating, and communicating residents' care plans. Ensure staff implements care plans, performs care activities appropriately, and recognizes changes in resident status. Maintain current resident care plans for all residents under your care. Follow physicians orders. Render and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders. Transcribe physicians orders promptly and accurately. Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness. Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes. Maintain awareness of residents on alert list and document RN assessments as needed. Document and report any unusual findings; contact the physician when necessary. Administer medication according to procedure if applicable. Initiate any emergency procedures as necessary. Oversee performance of Charge Nurse and CNA staff. Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations. Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN in this state. Must be CPR certified. Minimum of one (1) year experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or related health care facility is preferable.
Specific Requirements
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills. Must have knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies. Must be able to make independent decisions when warranted. Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public. Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, and laws and guidelines pertaining to long term care. Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel. Must be able to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, policies, and procedures for providing quality care. Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, and the willingness to handle difficult residents. Must be able to relate information concerning a residents condition and communicate effectively with appropriate personnel regarding emergencies.
