Responsibilities Perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. Maintain an in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology. Support imaging centers staffed by UCLA Health; maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. Apply knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room. Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders. Maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed. Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations. Perform accurate image archival. Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media. Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient.

Salary

Salary Range: $49.73 - $65.56 Hourly Qualifications

Licenses: A combination of the ARRT and CRT - required. MR certificate required. OR a combination of ARRT and ARMRIT (MR) - required. BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required. Graduate from an AMA Radiologic Technologist Program - required. Venipuncture certificate - preferred. AA or BS - preferred. At least 1 year of MRI experience - preferred. Siemens experience - preferred. Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies; identify contraindications for exams; excellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skills; familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes); knowledge of human anatomy and pathology; strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities. You will be required to rotate to all radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health.
