Senior information technology role focused on database development and data platform engineering within a NoSQL/SQL environment. Responsibilities
Database Development NoSQL Development (Mandatory)
Hands-on experience with MongoDB: designing schemas, writing complex queries, aggregations, and performance optimization. Understanding of NoSQL data modeling patterns (document-oriented, key-value). Familiarity with other NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, DynamoDB, Redis) is a plus. Developing, debugging, and optimizing stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages using PL/SQL. Strong relational database concepts: normalization, indexing, referential integrity. Experience with major relational systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
Data Platforms Snowflake (Must Have): Experience with Snowflake Data Cloud development: DDL/DML, stored procedures, UDFs, performance optimization. Understanding of Snowflake architecture and features (Virtual Warehouses, Time Travel, etc.). Data loading/unloading into/out of Snowflake. Experience with Apache Iceberg for big data in open table formats; schema evolution, partitioning, time travel, manifest files. Integrating Iceberg with query engines (Spark, Presto, Trino) or data lakes. Performance Tuning (Must Have) Diagnose and resolve database performance issues across relational and NoSQL environments. Index tuning, partitioning strategies, and database configuration for performance. Familiarity with database monitoring tools and techniques. Programming and Scripting Python (Good to Have): Automation, scripting, data processing, and API integrations. Libraries for database connectivity (e.g., psycopg2, pymongo, snowflake-connector-python). Design and migration of NoSQL MongoDB in financial domain. PL-SQL queries development, fine tuning and migration. Cloud-based DWH design using Snowflake; on-prem and cloud-based app development projects; issue fixing and enhancements. Mentoring junior developers and identifying opportunities for product improvements. Application troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution. Track project status, issues, risks, and updates with senior leadership. Salary
