Territory Sales Manager, Carpet Flooring Shaw Industries Group, Inc. The Residential Sales Division is hiring a Territory Sales Manager for Carpet Soft Surface Flooring who will maintain and increase Shaws profitability and market share in their assigned geographic area. This role covers the Santa Clarita, Burbank, Palmdale, Lancaster, North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, and Van Nuys CA markets, and the candidate must live in market. Daily sales calls on existing customers with emphasis on selling hard surface flooring products, samples, displays, adhesive, and related floor products. Present products to retail dealers, designers and end-users; analyze leads provided by corporate reports. Sell and construct display racks weighing 50 lbs or more on a regular basis. Continually prospect for viable new accounts while developing an awareness of market activity within the designated geographic area. Prepare reports of business transactions and sales activity, including sales volume and potential. Prepare and communicate periodic sales reports detailing actual sales, goals, competitive conditions and product needs. Analyze sales statistics by reviewing territory-specific computer reports to aid goal setting and dealer promotion strategies. Monitor travel and entertainment expenditures and sample budgets to conform to budgetary requirements. Enter all customer interactions and key information into Salesforce.com. Sell and promote residential products including Shaw Floors, Anderson Tuftex, and Philly Commercial, and educate customers on these products. Qualifications
High-school diploma or GED and 1 year of sales experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Travel will be all-day; must reside in the market. Must be able to travel in a vehicle capable of carrying product sample boards (van or approved SUV). Ability to lift samples and build displays up to 50 pounds regularly. Flexible schedule; some evenings may be required. Proven experience using a laptop and basic Microsoft Windows software including MS Office. Highly Preferred Experiences
Experience with outside sales of flooring solutions and interior design. Completion of the Shaw sales trainee program can be substituted for experience. Self-motivated with good organizational skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills; excellent time management; professional conduct in workplace and community; problem solving and ability to navigate ambiguity; team player.
