At Boston Scientific, as a Senior Medical Director, within Interventional Cardiology Solutions you will play a pivotal role in influencing the advancement of therapies across the globe. Your expertise will guide our clinical strategy, working closely with our research, engineering, business development team and key opinion leaders to help ensure our interventional cardiology remains innovative, safe, and effective. This position reports directly to the CMO, Interventional Solutions. Your responsibilities will include: Scientific Guidance and Collaboration: Provide medical and scientific guidance to internal and external stakeholders, including clinical trials teams, functional units, study investigators, and regulatory agencies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with medical objectives for interventional cardiology. Operational Support and Oversight: Participate in clinical trial planning, protocol development, and investigator selection. Therapeutic Area Expertise: Leverage your medical expertise throughout the device life cycle and serve as a medical advisor for both our engineering and regulatory matters. Participate in the evaluation of adjacent business development opportunities. Innovation and Technology Integration: Contribute to the application of new technologies in solving complex medical challenges. Provide clinical due diligence for new product development and business initiatives. Clinical and Scientific Communication: Write and edit clinical and scientific reports, and review and approve educational materials. Ensure accuracy and consistency in clinical trial protocols. Develop and maintain relationships with key thought leaders in the interventional cardiology community. Participate in local, national, and international medical conferences. Required Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) in Interventional Cardiology/Cardiology required and strong background in structural heart disease. Minimum clinical experience of 15 years as a physician. Prior background in device development or new technology. Travel required up to 50%, both domestic and global. Fundamental understanding of clinical trial design, medical device regulatory pathway, and the competitive landscape across interventional cardiology. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in healthcare or business. Proven experience with interventional cardiac therapies preferred. Adept at presenting and discussing clinical data with peers and extended clinical community.
