Technical Support Engineer
to join our Fairfax, VA office. The CDM Data Services program strengthens federal network security by collecting, normalizing, visualizing, and sharing cyber data from more than 100 federal agencies. The CDM Data Services product integrates multiple COTS products, software configurations, and custom code to meet DHS requirements. We are seeking professionals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment where problem-solving and a holistic approach to serving the mission are key. Our program operates within SAFe. A passion for continuous learning, improvement, and cybersecurity is a must. The Technical Support Engineer provides advanced technical advice and guidance on installation and configuration of CDM custom-developed solutions. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting custom-developed solutions and will help measure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the solution. The role includes reviewing logs with the Elastic stack and other tools, responding to incidents, performing root cause analyses, and recommending solutions to prevent recurrence. The engineer will assist in developing continuous process improvements for support tools and troubleshooting techniques and will collaborate with developers, testers, infrastructure engineers, and DevSecOps engineers to integrate solutions into the software development lifecycle. Required Skills Ability to obtain Public Trust Suitability Minimum 5 years of experience with at least 3+ years as a Tier 2 support engineer Experience in Elasticsearch/Kibana, Docker Containers, Python, and DevSecOps automation tools Strong knowledge of microservices, containerization, and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Proactive, detail-oriented approach to identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements Ability to interact at all levels of management internally and with customers and vendors Excellent follow-through and initiative Ability to multi-task and manage time amongst clients Willingness to learn new technologies and advance your IT career Good verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills ITIL Foundation Certification CDM Dashboard experience (plus but not required) Python Elasticsearch/Kibana Ansible and/or Terraform automation Experience troubleshooting custom software code Development coding experience (a plus)
