Develops and executes human resources (HR) practices to support and improve the daily operations of the Human Resources Department and supports academic and administrative units. Works in partnership with HR functional teams to provide a high level of service delivering strategic business goals. Handles employee relations, management coaching, data reporting and analysis, policy implementation and other HR-related activities ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. Responsibilities
Partners with HRBP and assigned business unit(s) or specialty groups to identify, develop and promote programs that meet strategic business objectives Functions as a business advisor to employees regarding key organizational and management issues including employee relations Supports the full-cycle recruiting process from identifying staffing needs to onboarding new hires; uses performance-based recruitment tools Collaborates with HR Coordinators to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding experiences Collaborates with HR functional teams to push strategic initiatives throughout the organization Identifies coaching and training needs and delivers coaching solutions or coordinates internal/external training resources Partners with Compensation to ensure entity positions are graded and leveled appropriately Ensures documentation is in place and the job evaluation packet is complete Leads or supports HR projects using Project Management methodologies Supports performance management and organizational development tools to enable high performing teams Provides insight and leadership during organizational change Uses HR technology to present strategic decision-making data Addresses and resolves tier one employee relations issues in line with policies and applicable laws Oversees conflict resolution and provides guidance per policies Interprets policies to employees and managers; provides front line customer service Supports the performance management process including goal setting and employee development plans Assists with New Employee Orientation (NEO) Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in Human Resources or related field Preferred Qualifications:
PHR, SHRM-CP or equivalent certification; advanced degree is a plus; experience in higher education setting Salary and Benefits
Proposed Salary: The budgeted salary range is $61,000 to $69,000. Offers are based on relevant experience.
