As a result of continued growth, we are actively seeking an experienced
Fire Alarm Technician
to join our team in Baltimore, MD. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will: Repair/service, troubleshoot, and install fire alarm systems, voice/evacuation & power extender panels, annunciators & fire alarm dialers. Have knowledge of different types of panels and how to access programming features. Troubleshoot field wiring and output circuits. Read and use a multi-meter properly. Provide proper customer service and communication with internal and external customers. Obtain and/or maintain NICET certification. Cover on-call hours for servicing customers, including nights and weekends on a rotating basis. Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Familiarity with Firelite, Silent Knight, Notifier, Simplex, Gamewell & Siemens systems. Travel between customer sites daily within the Baltimore & Washington, DC metropolitan areas. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic electrical skills. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: NICET. Any specific manufacturer factory training certification or license. Journeyman or Masters electrical license. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Depending on the customer site, noise level could be quiet (as in a library or public office) or moderate (as in a business office with computers and light traffic). Ability to withstand heights and climb ladders comfortably. Hourly Wage:
