Shaw's Residential Sales Division is hiring a Territory Sales Manager for Hard Surface Flooring to maintain and increase profitability and market share in an assigned geographic area by building strong relationships with flooring dealer customers based on knowledge, service, trust and integrity. This role covers the markets: Portland OR, Vancouver WA, Salem OR, and coastal areas; ideal candidate locations include Portland OR, Vancouver WA, or surrounding suburbs. Responsibilities
Daily sales calls on existing customers with emphasis on hard surface flooring products, samples, displays, adhesive, and related floor products. Present products to retail dealers, designers and end-users and analyze leads provided by corporate reports. Sell and construct display racks weighing 50 lbs or more on a regular basis. Continually prospect for viable new accounts while staying aware of market conditions in the designated geographic area. Prepare reports of business transactions and sales volumes and potential. Prepare and communicate periodic sales reports with actual sales information, goals, competitive market conditions and product needs. Analyze sales statistics using territory-specific computer reports to help formulate goals and assist dealers in promoting sales. Analyze and control travel and entertainment expenditures as well as sample budgets to conform to budgetary requirements. Enter all customer interactions and key information into Salesforce.com. Promote and sell all residential products including Shaw Floors, Anderson Tuftex, and Philadelphia Commercial, educating customers on these products. Requirements
High-school diploma or GED and 1 year of sales experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Travel will be mostly day travel by car, with 1-2 overnights per month; must reside in the market. Must be able to travel in a vehicle capable of carrying product sample boards (van or approved SUV). Ability to lift samples and build displays, up to 50 pounds regularly. Flexible schedule that may include some evenings. Proven experience using a laptop computer and basic Microsoft Windows software including MS Office. Highly Preferred Experiences
Experience with outside sales of flooring solutions and interior design. Completion of the Shaw sales trainee program can be substituted for experience. Self-motivated with good organizational skills. Competencies

Approved vehicle classes are SUVs or van-sized vehicles and must meet minimum storage space requirements.
