Department: Diagnostic Imaging Shift: Variable (United States of America) Employee Type: Regular - Per Diem Per Diem Type (if applicable): Non-RN Per Diem 1 Minimum Pay Range: $36.54 - $45.67 Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY The Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in various units including Medical-Surgical, ICU, and surgical units, using fixed and portable imaging equipment. They conduct routine and advanced imaging exams on outpatients, inpatients, and ED patients. They also perform patient care assessments and duties to ensure patient safety and well-being. The technologist is responsible for maintaining the quality control of imaging equipment and ensuring radiation safety for patients, visitors, and staff. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure/Certification: Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) licensure required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) licensure strongly preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Current CA Fluoroscopy license required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Venipuncture certification strongly preferred. Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of a Radiological Technology Program required. Knowledge/Skills: Ability to physically lift, maneuver, and manipulate patients and equipment. Manual dexterity to operate equipment controls and switches. Ability to work effectively and remain calm under stressful conditions.
