Multi-Modality CT Technologist

Riverside Health Smithfield, Virginia. Opening in early 2026, Riverside Smithfield Hospital will bring high-quality healthcare closer to home for Isle of Wight County residents. Located on a 27-acre medical campus at 19339 Benns Grant Boulevard in Smithfield, the new hospital will provide modern facilities and comprehensive medical services. The 200,000-square-foot, three-story facility will offer Emergency Department, Diagnostic Imaging Services, 38 Medical/Surgical beds, 12 ICU beds and 4 Operating Rooms. Start dates are anticipated in Fall 2025. Hours: 12-hour shifts 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Overview
The Multi-Modality CT Technologist in a hospital setting is responsible for performing CT and diagnostic exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all radiology and CT exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Conducts patient preparation and explains exams, responds to questions regarding exam procedures and processes, IV insertions and contrast injections, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation. What You Will Do
Assist radiologists in performing CT imaging procedures. Select proper protocol to obtain optimal images and provide clinical documentation per scope of practice. Perform with a high degree of safety and quality; follow ALARA principles. Prepare equipment, instrumentation, and supplies to support quality patient care. Adhere to applicable regulatory and accrediting standards; report variances. Coordinate patient care, perform assessments, take actions, and document findings. Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies to ensure uninterrupted service. Detail-oriented, able to multi-task, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications
Experience CT experience is preferred. Licenses and Certifications Radiologic Technologists ARRT Radiology (R) upon hire (Required) and ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) upon hire (Required); CPR/BLS Certification AHA/ARC/American Safety and Health Institute (Upon Hire) (Required). Other Requirements Call Rotation, Weekend Shifts, Irregular Shifts.
