Network Engineer
to support a federal program out of Springfield, VA. The
Network Engineer
will be responsible for supporting complex network environments, troubleshooting escalated issues and ensuring secure and efficient network operations.
This role requires an Active Top Secret (TS) Clearance for consideration.
Responsibilities of the Network Engineer: Participate in hands-on installation and implementation of network technologies Configure and troubleshoot network devices using CLI, deploy patches, and optimizing layer 2/layer 3 protocols Support cloud networking technologies such as Azure Virtual Networks and ExpressRoute and integrate with on-prem infrastructure Participate in Layer 1 troubleshooting/configuration cable types, media converters, and telco circuits Maintain and optimize routers, switches, and firewalls Set up and maintain VPNs (site-to-site and remote access) ensuring secure connectivity
Qualifications of the Network Engineer: 3+ years of experience working in network engineering Hands on experience with CLI, deploy patches, routers, switches, firewalls, TACLANEs, GEM One, Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, VPN technologies Extensive experience with Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols Must be willing to travel (~1 week a month OCONUS/CONUS) Must hold active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility Bachelor's degree in related field
Compensation of the Network Engineer: Salary: Up to $170,000 annually *commensurate of experience* Comprehensive Benefits: Full Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance, 401k, PTO (Paid Time Off), Paid Holidays, Sick leave as required by law
