At Amazon, we're working to create the most customer-centric company on earth. We are looking for a dynamic, customer-obsessed and innovative software engineer to join our Amazon Private Brands team. Our Private Brands offer customers great quality at great prices, and we are looking for software engineers to build new systems that help customers discover our Private Brands products. This is a team with a fast paced, highly collaborative start-up like environment inside Amazon. You will be a true owner, flexible, entrepreneurial, and resilient. You will collaborate with product managers, applied scientists, and partner teams. You should be comfortable with ambiguity, develop quick proof of concepts, iterate, and improve. You will create extensible designs and maintainable solutions with a long-term vision in mind. A day in the life: As a software engineer you will work with business partners, software development engineers and QA to design, implement, test, launch, document, and maintain complex software applications, tools, and systems. You will learn a variety of technologies and develop well-rounded skills in technology, leadership, and project management. We focus on delivering high-impact customer-facing features while learning, sharing, innovating, and having fun at work. About the team

The team builds world-class, highly available service technologies, handles big data, and delivers ML-based solutions. 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems Experience programming with at least one software programming language Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

The compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
