Overview
Full Time - Sales Associate - Building Materials - Day at Lowe's Companies, Inc. This role focuses on delivering customer service to help customers with their home improvement needs. Key Responsibilities
Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service. Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise. Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies. Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time. Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service. Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds). Guide customers through shopping or checkout. Complete other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information. 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets. Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction). Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation. Preferred Qualifications
6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience. Bi-lingual skills. Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials). Travel & Working Conditions
This role does not require regular travel; however, travel may be needed occasionally to meetings or training or to support neighboring stores. Environmental factors vary by location and may include inside and outside conditions with varying climates, noises, and manual handling. Lifting guidelines: single lifts up to 75 pounds; team lifts used minimally at or above 75 pounds; powered equipment used as required with training or assistance. Benefits & Company Information
