About the Role The Echocardiograph Technologist is responsible for delivering accurate, high-quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasound imaging to support timely patient care. This role requires strong technical skills, knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, and the ability to adapt procedures for special circumstances. Collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams is essential, along with maintaining patient safety, proper documentation, and cost-effective practices. Responsibilities This role performs a variety of cardiac ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders, including complex studies such as transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and contrast-enhanced exams. Technologists assist with invasive procedures, modify protocols as needed, and ensure compliance with American Society of Echocardiography standards. The position includes shared coverage for standby, emergency call-backs, and occasional weekend or regional coverage. Qualifications Oregon Sonographer license upon hire National Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) or National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) or National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) upon hire Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Preferred: Associates degree in Applied Science from a CAAHPE-accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography Preferred: 1 year of cardiovascular ultrasound experience or minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities Preferred: Pediatric echocardiography experience, familiarity with advanced heart failure imaging, and experience with echo-guided trans-catheter procedures Required Skills Strong technical skills, knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, and the ability to adapt procedures for special circumstances. Preferred Skills Collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, maintaining patient safety, proper documentation, and cost-effective practices. Pay range and compensation package Salary Range: $44.67$69.35/hour + additional incentives. Full-time, multiple shifts available with a $6,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.
