Overview
This role will focus primarily on HR operations, while also managing HR personnel initiatives, supporting employee relations, compliance, recruitment, onboarding, training, and HR administration. The consultant will also assess HR needs, help define priorities, and create a roadmap for the future. The position requires strong hands-on HR experience in a manufacturing setting and comfort working in a PE-owned environment. Worksite Location
Onsite in the Southwest Metro area of Minneapolis, MN (20 hours/week onsite preferred, with potential to flex up as project ramps). Salary Range
Hourly rate between $50-$60, DOE. Benefits

Serve as a resource for employee relations, engagement, and performance management Support recruitment and onboarding across hourly, skilled trades, and salaried roles Partner with leadership on organizational design and HR strategy Manage policy development, handbook updates, and compliance (FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, EEO, ADA) Oversee annual review process, training programs, and development initiatives Maintain HRIS records, paper files, and personnel data Support payroll processing and vendor relationships Administer LOA, FMLA, ADA, and worker's comp programs Prepare HR reports and support audits as needed Required Skills & Experience
35 years of HR experience in manufacturing or industrial settings Strong HR operations background (payroll, compliance, administration) Experience supporting PE-owned organizations Proficiency in Microsoft Office; HRIS experience (ADP, Paycom, UKG) preferred Ability to build an HR playbook/roadmap and prioritize strategic needs Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage the hourly workforce HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus About Versique
