Overview
Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Java Equities Developer. Position type: Contract. Duration: 12 months+. Location: New York, NY. Needs to have hands-on experience in Java within the Equities development space; experience with mission-critical trading platforms (Nuvoprime API, SwapOne); expertise in tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, PuppetLabs, SonaType, SonarQube, Tenable, Invicti & Zero. Responsibilities
Hands-on experience in Java in Equities development space. Experience with mission-critical trading platforms (Nuvoprime API, SwapOne). Expertise in tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, PuppetLabs, SonaType, SonarQube, Tenable, Invicti and Zero Networks. Strong security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Experience in development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks. Solid understanding of back-end and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). In-depth knowledge of equities or equity derivatives, and trading workflows (including FIX protocol). Direct collaboration with trading desks and business users. Bachelors/masters degree in computer science or related field. 5+ years of Java development experience, ideally in capital markets/financial services. Experience with frameworks (Spring, Hibernate), messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and databases (SQL Server, QuestDB, Snowflake). Proficiency with Git and Agile development. Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills. Qualifications and Nice-to-Have
Good to have: Experience with AI/ML; familiarity with log observability tools (Elastic Search/Kibana/Splunk stack). Experience with leading industry platforms (Quod, FlexTrade, Nuvoprime, Murex). Experience with cloud (Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of regulatory/risk/compliance and audit controls in Equities trading space is a plus. Behavioral traits: collaborative, clear communicator, proactive, detail-oriented problem solver, adaptable, analytical, results-driven, and maintains integrity and accountability. Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or related field. 5+ years of Java development experience, ideally in capital markets/financial services. Compensation and Benefits
