The electrophysiology technologist assists physicians during electrophysiology procedures, including pacemaker/ICD insertions, radiofrequency ablation, and other invasive cardiac and vascular procedures. Responsibilities include operating electrophysiology recorders, hemodynamic monitoring computers, and scrubbing for procedures. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.
Required:
1. Possession of one of the following certifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Registered Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
2. Knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensing/certification as required for the role.
Preferred:
1. Experience in electrophysiology or interventional cardiac cath lab.
2. Certifications such as RCES, IBHRE (formerly NASPE), or previous electrophysiology experience.
3. Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS Allied Health).
4. Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
5. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
