Overview
Sub-Acute, Long-Term Care is a sector of healthcare exploding with potential and work-life balance flexibility (no weekends or on call). We are seeking a Fee-For-Service (8-12 hours per week) Attending Physician/Medical Director for our Westwood Center located in Bluefield, VA. This is a Dual Role Attending Physician/Medical Director with a clinical focus. Must be BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with LTC experience. Responsibilities
The Medical Director partners with the Regional Medical Director to promote clinical service delivery that aligns with AlignMed Partners’ mission and drives high-quality, efficient outcomes.
Coordinate with Center staff, Regional Management, and AlignMed Partners to oversee implementation, utilization, and outcomes measurement of clinical programs.
Be dually accountable to the Center Administrator and the Regional Medical Director for clinical care within the Center; accountable to the Center Administrator for delivery of clinical services as stipulated in the Medical Director Agreement; and accountable to the Regional Medical Director for quality and efficiency of clinical services and outcomes.
Collaborate with the Center Administrator and Director of Nursing to achieve high performance in quality, safety, and efficiency within the evolving value-based care environment.
Qualifications
MD or DO required.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; maintenance of certification preferred.
Geriatrics specialization is desirable.
Certified Medical Director (CMD) through AMDA is desirable.
