Position Summary: The CLS PD performs a variety of technical analyses, verifies results and assures quality and accuracy of tests under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor(s), Laboratory Manager(s), Laboratory Administrative Director, and Laboratory Medical Director (Pathologist). Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science from an accredited institution Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Technologist license Ability to demonstrate a familiarity and understanding of medical terminology, typing, math and computer skills Requires 1 year of training post baccalaureate Preferred: 2 years working in a laboratory setting; Co-op or internship experience in a laboratory setting or prior acute care experience Degree majoring in Clinical Lab Science Overview

Groundbreaking cardiac procedures at Dominican include Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), which allows for heart valve replacement without opening a patient’s chest. Dominican Hospital has partnerships with area hospitals to bring comprehensive care to Santa Cruz County, including a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) through a partnership with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and Neurosurgery through a partnership with Stanford Health Care.
