As defined by the American College of Surgeons, Surgical Assistants are trained individuals who are able to participate in, and actively assist the surgeon in, completing the operation safely and expeditiously by helping to provide exposure, maintain homeostasis, and other technical functions. Assist in the Main Operating Room as a Surgical Technologist First Assistant, supporting the surgical team and patient care during procedures. Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; experience: at least 3 years as a Surgical Tech, or High School Diploma with 1 year Surgical First Assistant experience Credentials: Basic Life Support Seniority level: Associate Employment type: Full-time Location: BayCare Health System, Surgery-SJH Location detail: St Josephs Main and Childrens Status: Full Time, Exempt: No Shift Hours: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm Shift: Shift 2 Weekend Work: Occasional On Call: Yes Remote work: Never Job function: Health Care Provider Industries: Hospitals and Health Care EEO
