The Software Enterprise Sales team provides industry leading Citizen Engagement, 9-1-1 Call Taking, Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management, Jail Management, Public Service 311 and analytics software for Public Safety and Public Service markets. We are seeking a top-performing, technical sales professional who understands how to sell Motorolas public safety software solutions to prospective customers while maintaining excellent customer relationships. Responsibilities
Sell Motorolas computer aided dispatch, records management, jail management, evidence management, analytics, and situational awareness solutions to new customers. This is a hunter role, focused on capturing new business in large-tier agencies. Work with the largest cities and counties within the territory to influence opportunities proactively. Develop customer relationships by phone contact, personal visits, tradeshow attendance, onsite discovery, software demonstrations, oral presentations, and regional user group meetings. Sales assignments are by region or major geographic area; territories are sized by total customers operating as a "host" agency. Opportunities include on-site product presentations, internet demonstrations, and coordinating with state and local officials on single or multi-jurisdictional projects. Knowledge of local government procurement processes is helpful. Typical travel is moderate to high, with 50-65% of time in front of customers. Top performers are compensated aggressively with accelerators upon achieving annual sales quota. Specific Knowledge & Skills
Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety experience OR 8+ years of sales/public safety experience. Sales experience in a technical field, computer software industry, or government sales preferred. Experience selling to multiple levels, project stakeholders, and committees is a plus. Experience with large-ticket products and long sales cycles beneficial. Ability to articulate and sell enterprise software solutions. Highly driven and self-motivated. Proactive in lead and opportunity qualification and development processes. Excellent communication, problem-solving and negotiating skills. Consultative and relationship-based sales approach with prospective customers. Familiar with CRM upkeep, management, forecasting and sales pipeline maintenance. Creative and persuasive presentation and verbal communication skills. Familiar with Microsoft Office programs. Strong time management skills; ability to qualify opportunities throughout dynamic sales processes. Technical aptitude is a plus; entrepreneurial experience and a "builder" attitude are a plus. "Pleasant Persistence" is valued in this position. This position supports the following states: Missouri, Kansas, Iowa & Nebraska.
Preference will be given to candidates who live in Iowa, Missouri, Kansas or Nebraska; candidates in surrounding states will be considered. Must be able to work in high security areas governed by the CJIS Security Policy and pass a fingerprint background check. Target Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 USD Pay transparency: Pay within this range varies based on knowledge, skills and experience.
