This position is for a Machine Mechanic within a rebuilding and job shop environment, focused on custom machine building.
The role involves evaluating machines, breaking them down, determining root causes of malfunctions, problem-solving, repairing, and rebuilding equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and repair of used packaging equipment to ensure machines operate productively.
- Utilize hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers, as well as power tools like power drills and impacts.
- Read and interpret tape measures when necessary.
- Engage in fabrication and production tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, machine builder, or custom automotive mechanic/fabricator.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Experience in machine assembly and repair.
- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Blueprint and schematic reading skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school graduate or trade school education is preferred.
- Ability to work off verbal instructions and understand blueprints is advantageous.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
