Soliant
A part-time teacher specializing in visual impairment is needed to support K-12 students within a school setting. This role requires 19 hours per week onsite, providing direct instructional services to a mixed caseload of students with visual impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction and interventions to students with visual impairments across K-12 grade levels
Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion
Assess student needs and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Use adaptive technology and teaching strategies specific to visual impairment
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Provide consultation and training for staff and families on visual impairment-related topics
Desired Qualifications:
Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments
Strong knowledge of visual impairment teaching strategies and assistive technology
Ability to manage a mixed caseload effectively
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
