Construction Superintendent Job at Sharan Builders Inc. in New York

Sharan Builders, Inc. is a fully licensed, insured, and bonded general contractor serving New York State and New York City. We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the daily field operations of multiple construction projects.

The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring site safety, quality control, scheduling, and workforce coordination. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively manage subcontractors, vendors, and field staff, while ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This position may require travel to projects in the Albany region.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily on-site operations, including safety, productivity, and quality control.

Supervise subcontractors, trades, and field crews to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Enforce OSHA and company safety standards; conduct regular site safety meetings.

Coordinate field sequencing, material deliveries, equipment usage, and inspections.

Maintain project schedule and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.

Identify and resolve field issues quickly to avoid delays or cost impacts.

Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and site documentation.

Conduct and track punch list completion and closeout requirements.

Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, inspectors, and agency representatives.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a supervisory role on general construction projects, preferably NYC/NYS government work.

In-depth knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing.

Proven ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.

Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and project documents.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, familiarity with construction management software is a plus.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

OSHA 62-hour certification required.

Must hold a valid driver’s license and have U.S. work authorization.
