Description

Reporting to the Registrar and Director of Academic Records, the primary function of the Associate Registrar is to oversee enrollment and registration services and staff. The Associate Registrar seeks to enhance the registration and scheduling experience for both students and members of university faculty and staff with the aid of new technology and creative initiatives. To further this goal, the Associate Registrar routinely works with students and various academic and administrative offices on campus to quickly resolve issues and pursue new improvements. Testing during system upgrades and participation in university events outside of the regular work hours are also required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manages the setup and maintenance of student registration periods. Oversees course scheduling and assignment of academic spaces for academic and non-academic events. Monitors enrollment statuses and attendance information. Works with the Bursar to ensure accurate billing of registered coursework. Represents the department on various committees as needed. Supervises members of the clerical staff. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience in a Registrar's office with specific knowledge of course registration and scheduling. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, with strong organizational and administrative skills. Thorough understanding of FERPA guidelines and policies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree preferred. Experience with Ellucian Banner Student Information System and 25Live Scheduler. Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Power BI, or other reporting or dashboarding software.

Salary/Salary Range $65,000 - $74,000

Additional Information Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education. In addition to the salary offered, we offer a collegial and inclusive culture, and a benefits program which includes generous paid time off, paid holidays, tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, and a retirement plan with University contributions.

*Salary ranges indicated for positions covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement are in accordance with the CBA.
